RWTH Aachen University is the largest university of technology in Germany and one of the most renowned technical universities in Europe, with around 36,000 students, more than the half of which in engineering.
The University's IT Center (ITC) offers a wide range of computing and communication services for all institutes, employees and students. On the one hand, the ITC provides equipment which is too expensive or too difficult to operate for institutes.
